The last 2+ weeks have been absolutely dreadful for the O2W blog! First I got slammed by TSLA, then immediately after, got hammered by First Solar and then this past week I got whipsawed by GCT! In 3 weeks, I saw my O2W portfolio go from $134K to now almost half! Talk about getting whupped… 🙁
In any case, let me first turn my focus to the overall markets’ performance(s)…
All 3 indices were on a tear this past week. The S&P was up 2.29%, the Nasdaq was up 2.85% and the Dow was up almost 2% as well! And in spite of the overall markets going up, to watch my portfolio’s NAV go down by 30% in the same week makes it even harder to digest… 🙁
Index | Previous Weekly Close | Current Week’s Close | Change | Percentage Change |
$DOW | 38,714.77 | 39,476.90 | +762.13 | +1.97% |

$COMPX | 15,973.17 | 16,428.82 | +455.65 | +2.85% |

Final Thoughts:
For the third week in a row, my O2W portfolio’s NAV went down. Last week I thought the portfolio had stabilized…But going down another 30% is certainly not a sign of stability… 🙁
To see the portfolio having lost almost half its value in less than 3 weeks is certainly no fun, however, I faced a similar situation back in October of last year when the O2W’s NAV went down more than 50% to $4,901.48 from its starting $10,000 value…Since I have weathered a similar setback here before, I am not worried about my prospects going forward. Furthermore, unlike last October, I am now sitting on more than $25K mound of cash…so I am quite sanguine about my portfolio’s current position…
Let’s see how this week unfolds…
